Doors 7pm, Show 8pm
Very simple, not so fancy. Katy, Kyp, and Diane build musical worlds using basic tools. Howls and words spun and heard. Come be around!
Katy Pinke is a New York based singer-songwriter, actor, and artist. Her songs are self-examinations — cerebral and unsparing, but reaching toward a more promising future. On her self-titled debut album Pinke mixes the precise and wry delivery of The Roches and Connie Converse with the idiosyncratic song forms of Bill Callahan. Pinke’s work exudes a direct and inviting quality, while a closer listen to her lyrics reveals a quiet battle being waged — an ongoing struggle to unconditionally love a fragmented self.
Kyp Malone is a musician and artist based in Brooklyn, NYC. He wrote and performed with the musical groups TV on the Radio and Iran. Malone currently plays with the musical groups Ice Balloons, Bent Arcana and performs solo as Kyp Malone’s RainMachine employing elements of improvisation, folk, and electronic music.
Diane Cluck is a singer-songwriter who leans on classical piano training in her approach to guitar, dance as an inspiration for rediscovering piano, and voice as a rhythm instrument and paintbrush. She's currently at work on her ninth record, House Tears, for release in 2024. “Bell-clear and hotly austere, her lithe, dynamic voice hasn’t much kin. Categorizing her as folk is simplistic. (Cluck) emanates something humble but mythic. Appalachia or ancient Athens?” – Time Out New York
