Diane Cluck - Fall Tour Dates, etc.

I'm delighted to have some northeast shows on the books. With various uncertainties it seemed best to hold off on confirming dates till recently, and I'm thankful for the small business owners and friends who've pulled together to make these shows happen.

There are a few more dates I'd be open to filling with an easy, casual, approach. Think music in a driveway, gazebo, back yard, etc. Let's make small things happen with little fuss!
Here are those dates: Friday, Oct. 1st: Boston or CT. Tuesday, Oct. 5th: Providence, RI - with cellist friend Isabel Castellvi. Wednesday, Oct. 6th: Boston or elsewhere in MA.

I'm looking forward to sharing bills with some amazing artists & familiars: Kyp Malone's Rain Machine, Jeffrey Lewis, Kath Bloom, and Karl Blau. Each venue has specific Covid-related guidelines. Some places will require proof of vaccination and/or masks. Please read listings to confirm.

This new workshops's been fun to try out. I hosted a session of Creative Harmony Singing over Zoom last week, and decided to offer it again as a one-session workshop on Sunday, November 7th, 2-4pm. Invite an on-screen friend to join you for free! Open to twelve people. Info & register here.

As I type this newsletter my piano's being tuned in the next room. This makes me happy in ways I can't describe. Last fall I brought a 'real piano' back into my life after years of playing a digital one for practical reasons. It's just so beautiful getting to hang out with this creature every day. 
 
The transition back to digital piano for live shows was kinda stark in terms of sound and feel. So I wondered what else is out there, and after reading lots of reviews decided on a gently used Nord Grand. It's made with Kawai action (the kind of piano I enjoy playing at home) and I'm excited/nervous to try it out these upcoming shows. My current set relies heavily on piano and I want to be able to translate my love for the instrument into nuanced sound as best I can.
