Today is a soft release of my new record House Tears. We're so proud of this music and I feel excited to share it. Here are a few ways that you can find, listen to, and support the record:

Today is a Bandcamp Friday, when artists receive 100% of sales without the usual platform fees. You can freely stream House Tears a few times and purchase it if moved to do so.

Pre-order signed 10" vinyl from my website, dianecluck.info. Records will be pressed once the first 150 copies are sold, or by January 1st, 2025.

Digital download (less popular these days, we know!) is available through my website and included with all vinyl pre-orders.
- The record will be added to Spotify, Apple Music, etc. in a couple of months.
For those who've already supported the making of House Tears through crowdfunding, thank you again. You'll receive your digital downloads in a separate message sent out later today. Handwritten lyrics are still in the works for a few more folks as well.
House Tears was again co-produced with quiet ace Colin Killalea, who fantastically mixed the recordings, attended to some of the engineering and arranging, and also played several instruments on the record. Jeremy Gustin brought his brilliantly fluid percussion to the songs. Curtis Fye was our mainstay engineer and big friendly bass frequency. Adam Brisbin carved a beautiful shape with pedal steel on " Lovin' Cup". Michelle Montserrat Oliva threaded bass clarinet into the album's title track. We recorded at White Star Sound in Louisa, VA, and also at my house and Colin's home studio between the fall of 2022 and spring of 2024. Fred Kevorkian mastered the record. The cover photo is by Kristen Finn. With crowdfunding support I was thankfully able to pay all of the creative workers invited into this project respectful, professional fees for their time.
The recordings have been finished since July and I decided to push them out the door this week for a couple of reasons. For one, it's autumn, and the right season for this music. Also, in making this record available I'd like to be able to send some of its proceeds to aid organization Beloved Asheville. Western NC mountain folks are some of the most richly resourced people I've ever met in terms of community interconnectedness, but they need a ton of financial support right now in order to stabilize and begin recovering from the disastrous effects of Hurricane Helene. This Bandcamp Friday, please consider directly supporting beloved Asheville-area musicians such as Mother Marrow, April Wilson, Ash Devine, Tall Tall Trees, Madelyn Ilana and Rising Appalachia.
