I'm stopping by with some momentary news… 

A new workshop begins very soon--this Wednesday, January 31st. Three spaces are still available in Winter Sparks in the Dark: Support & Techniques for Finishing Songs. We'll meet over Zoom for six Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm ET. 

The inspiration for this workshop came through what I observe in teaching and in my own practice--"finishing" songs is one of the biggest challenges songwriters face! And yet there's so much one can do with a finished song. So we'll persevere in good cheer, using various techniques for seaming up new songs to send into the world. More info / register here.

Normally I'd give more advance notice about a workshop. But these days my sense of timing and attention is shifting, changing and expanding around world events. Is this true for you as well?

The singing can be done in unison; it's not necessary to sketch in harmony lines (though we found it irresistible!). Take a breath and sync up together. It's surprisingly easy to do and has a calming effect.
